Close Your Eyes - Review

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Rachel Abbott is one of my favorite,  most recommended authors. I love her Tom Douglas series - and was super excited to consume this latest addition.  
A woman is murdered in the lane behind her house.  Her husband owns a tech company- on the verge of launching a life altering app. 
After talking to staff and searching offices, the police realize Martha cannot be found. 
Martha's life is a complete fabrication- perfect for a murderer to disappear.  
Martha and her son,  Alfie, are on the run. She shuffles them around the countryside,  under the radar. 
India's story unfolds- the daughter of a woman who questions her purpose, wandering until she finds Aram. He tears apart their family,  values and self worth.  
Chilling. Suspenseful. Loved it.

It immediately made me think of the Pelican Brief by John Grisham.   An environmental thriller that sucks you in, includes massively rich men and politicians.   Jordan receives a random tip about a wealthy man evading tariffs.  As she digs deeper, Jordan learns no one knows why this man bought a failing solar panel company.  Maggie is a die hard conservationist, with connections all over the world. Migrating dowitchers are literally falling dead from the sky. An autopsy reveals a specific metal poisoning. Found in solar panels.  Great suspense, lots of characters to keep the plot moving.
