The relationship and trust between Ed and Lou allows them both to not only heal but hope, real hope for the first time in years. I enjoyed this story - very relatable, realistic characters. The ending caught me off guard - very poetic.

Excited her mother will be visiting to help, Ali is blindsided by her sister, Laura's phone call. Her mother has been killed in a car accident.  After the funeral and her sister's departure, Ali finally loses it on her husband. She packs several bags, driving hours to her mother's house. Only to discover George, the gardener, who seems too close. Was he her mother's lover?  As Ali begins to explore her mother's home, she is forced to face certain truths about her family.  Several good twists and resolutions. Suspense up to the end, characters I enjoyed, and K9 units. Loved it!

Could one of them be Hannah, Casey's daughter who has been missing since the age of three. I enjoyed this story - the creative plot, did not guess the killer until just about the end. Suspense made my leg jitter.  Loved the characters. This is the first in this series I have read - I didn't feel like it held me back at all. Definitely want to read the next.

I was up until 130 am this morning finishing - read in a day. THAT good! Even though this is book number 9 in this series - I wasn't lost but definitely hooked! I am going to the library to get more! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Maeve Kerrigan gets called to the Thames- a hand has been found. Where is the rest of her? Paige worked on a story to expose a club for rich,  influential men only. Amazing writing and the suspense!
